Logistics, Parking & Other Details
For Attendees
Read below for details pertinent to COS attendees! This will help you prepare for your conference travel and time in Seattle.

The Seattle University campus is in Capitol Hill neighborhood in downtown Seattle. Conference activities will take place in Campion Hall and Pigott Hall. There is a roughly 5-10 minute outdoor walk between the buildings (uncovered). We will have ample signage to help you find your way around!

Be sure to reserve your room! The Silver Cloud Hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Seattle University Campus. You can walk from the hotel to the campus and conference locations in 5-10 minutes.

Public Transit: For hotel and out of area guests, you may be able to utilize public transportation to and from the Seattle University campus.
Parking Fees: Registrants who paid for a parking pass when they registered will be sent a link to enter their vehicle information for parking at the Murphy Garage at Seattle University. If you did not prepay for parking, you will need to pay at the lot using the PaybyPhone app.
Directions to the Parking Garage: If you will be driving to Seattle University for the conference, parking for the event will be in Murphy Garage. Please park on the first two levels of the Murphy Garage, labeled “P2” on this map (linked). To get to the Murphy Garage via a map app, please enter this address: 1001 E James Way, Seattle, WA 98122. The third level and up are by permit only and attendees will receive parking tickets if they park there. WRCOS has no authority to dispute or waive parking tickets.

From the Garage to Campion Hall: Within the Murphy Garage, you will see elevators on the west wall of the first floor, and on the west side of the middle wall on the second floor. Take the elevator up to the 6th level and take a left out of the elevator. Proceed forward until you reach a T in the walkway and turn left. Campion will be in front of you.
Once inside the building, turn left. The Campion Ballroom as well as a registration table will be in front of you.
From James or Jefferson: Proceed around the building to the north side to find the unlocked entrance for attendees.

Seattle in March can bring all kinds of weather! We encourage you to check the forecast the day or two before you travel to see what to expect in terms of temperatures. The conference utilizes multiple buildings on the Seattle University campus and will include walking outdoors between locations. Please bring layers and a waterproof jacket to ensure you are comfortable navigating the event. If you plan to join yoga or the ethnobotanical garden tour, please ensure to bring attire that will be comfortable for you in those settings.

COS 2025 will utilize the Sched app for our event schedule and program. You will receive an invite to join the platform the week prior to the conference. We invite you to update your profile, peruse the sessions and build your own schedule.

The Seattle University campus has guest Wi-Fi that does not require a password to access and should be easily connected to from any of the conference spaces.

The conference officially begins at the welcome reception on Wednesday, March 26th at 4:30 pm. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided (beer and wine for purchase). Meals included on Thursday: breakfast, morning snacks and beverages, lunch, afternoon snacks and beverages. Meals included on Friday: breakfast, morning snacks and beverages. There is an optional coffee hour when the conference concludes formally before lunch. Meals are all buffet-style and include multiple options to help guests accommodate dietary needs and preferences.
We strongly suggest you bring a reusable water bottle as water bottles are not sold on campus. We will have water stations throughout the event but you can also utilize water fountains and fillers at any time.
